Changes of note are listed below:

• Changes in handling of quoted strings in rules actions and template code changed in a small but significant way. In particular, it is now possible for actions and rules to assign compound values, such as: OnAdd="Name=^getFor(grandParent,Name)^;Color=red"
• Starting in version 2.5.0, Tinderbox compresses images; this substantially decreases the size of Tinderbox files with embedded images. Tinderbox currently uses JPEG compression, and compresses fairly aggressively; this significantly diminishes the size and loading time of Tinderbox files at the cost of some image degradation.
• New Note menu commands Expand Horizontally (keyboard shortcut) and Expand Vertically (keyboard shortcut) expand notes horizontally or vertically until the text of their title fits in the note.
• The order of Key Attributes in a Note window text pane may be re-ordered via drag and drop. You can drag key attributes from the attributes palette into a Note window text pane to add key attributes. In the pop-up menu lists of Key Attributes in Note text windows and Note Create/Rename dialogs, user attributes are now listed first before system attributes.
• Tinderbox now accepts image files dragged into map views, anywhere text files could go. The image files may have the extensions (formats) .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.

• The Note menu now has a Border sub-menu.
• Prototypes are marked in Outline views via a new Preference setting. The associated new attribute is MapPrototypeColor. This is slightly confusing terminology as the color highlighting of Prototypes refers to Outline view and not Map view.
• Lines starting with a hash symbol (#) are exported as HTML ordered lists.
• Adornments show locked/sticky states.
