Apple Intelligence

Apple introduced 'Apple Intelligence'—essentially AI built into the OS—gradually with macOS 15 (Sequoia). From macOS 15.3 Apple AI is on (enabled) by default. Although further features will emerge, macOS 15.1 is considered the baseline OS for this feature. In addition, the features requires an Apple Silicon ('M') cpu chip as opposed to the prior Intel cpu.

As Tinderbox is built off Apple frameworks, this means some Apple Intelligence features may work within Tinderbox: there is no exact list as yet.

Description of the functioning of Apple Intelligence is outside the scope of aTbRef. Overall control of Apple Intelligence (dis-/enabling it) is found in macOS System Settings ▸ Apple Intelligence & Siri, Apple Intelligence control. That preference tab also has a link to macOS Help articles on the subject.
