^urlEncode(item)^ encodes URLs in accordance with RFC1738. URLs should not contain spaces, control characters, or non-ASCII characters. this method ensures spaces, & and other such characters are correctly encoded, e.g. spaces become '%20'. Added in v2.5.0.
