ceil(argument)

rounds the number value of argument up to next whole integer.

See also floor() and round().

If $MyNumber is 3.2 then:

$MyNumber = ceil($MyNumber);

sets $MyNumber to 4. Note unlike normal rounding the value is set upwards to the next integer (i.e. whole number).
