New notes use last-set prototype

Tinderbox Icon

If using in-place editing, creating a new note in outline initially sets its prototype to none.

If not using in-place editing, creating a new note in an outline initially sets its prototype to the default prototype – the prototype most recently used.

Previous to v4.7.0, because in edit-in-place when creating a note in place the prototype is set before giving the user no means to override the default. When not editing in place, the initial setting is merely a popup menu button setting, which the user can override without consequences.

Regardless of default settings, when editing outlines, you can easily set the prototype for any note by right-clicking the outline icon.
