Atrribute Group: | General |
Attribute Inherited from Preferences? | No |
Attribute Read-Only? | Yes |
Returns (read-only) the position in the overall document hierarchy. This can be used by agents to judge the position of a note within the document. Note that some items not displayed in the Outline view, such as adornments, are still included in the OutlineOrder. This should be borne in mind if doing calculations based on comparing sibling OutlineOrder values as the 'next' item may not be a note (and there's no way to test this fact).
The order of notes within the current container is shwon by SiblingOrder.
The lowest number is drawn at the front in a map. If notes with outline orders #1 and #5 overlap, part of #5 will be behind the icon for #1.
The note menu command to move a note forward/backward or all the way to the back/front will alter both OutlineOrder and SiblingOrder for the affected note(s).
