brightness(color,value)
returns a modified color that has the same hue and saturation as the original color, but that has an altered brightness. The color argument is a color type attribute or an expression resolving as the same. The range of value is 0 to 100+ or an expression or attribute reference resolving to the same. By setting a value greater than 100% colour brightness of the target colour can be increased. For example:
brightness("#333333",150)
will increase the dark gray's brightness by 50%.
