Table view row cell edit pop-up menu

This menu is shown when a cell in edit mode in Table view is right-clicked. The exact range of options depends on whether there is a text selection and the content of the selection:

  • Attribute data type dependant entries (not shown if no text selection):
    • For Date & Interval types, or if a String's value looks like a date or time:
      • Create Event. Opens Apple Calendar's pop-up event configuration dialog.
      • Create Reminder. Opens Apple Reminders' pop-up reminder configuration dialog.
      • Show This Date in Calendar… (date) / Open Calendar… (time only).
    • For all data types:
      • Look Up "[selected-text]". Look up the selected text in the Dictionary app.
      • Translate "[selected-text]". Opens an OS translation pop-up dialog.
  • [rule]
  • Search with Google (not shown if no text selection). ('Google' is the default, if a different search engine is configured in macOS its name is used instead). Opens a web browser window search using the macOS's choice of web search engine, using the current text selection.

  • Cut. Cut the current selection to the clipboard.
  • Copy. Copy the current selection to the clipboard.
  • Paste. Paste the clipboard contents at the current insertion point.

  • Share. Opens the Share sub-menu for sharing via social media.
  • [rule]
  • Spelling and Grammar. Opens the Spelling and Grammar sub-menu.
  • Substitutions. Opens the Substitutions sub-menu.
  • Transformations (not shown if no text selection). Opens the Transformations sub-menu.
  • Speech. Opens the Speech sub-menu.
  • Services (not shown if no text selection). Shows a list of OS services available where there is a current text selection.
